Never forget what truly matters. Life is unpredictable! Sometimes we get so lost in the motions of the day to day life that we forget how much of a gift each and every day actually is. It doesn’t matter how rich, or famous or popular you are...a tragedy can happen to anyone at anytime.
There will come a day when tomorrow doesn’t come. Everyday is an opportunity to leave something that will last forever. While we might not be in control of how we die, we are all in control of HOW WE LIVE! Time is something that we all take for granted and we never know how important it is until that time is gone. “We are not old or young based on our age, we are old or young based on how much time we have left on this earth”.
Love your families, love your spouse, love your friends..love everbody. Create memories while you still have the chance. Give them flowers while they are still here. Give out hugs freely. Let your kids know how proud you are of them. Make memories while you have the chance because there will come a day when memories are all that you have. Find joy in all the little things and hold your loved ones close.
Was that an amazing Super Bowl or what?? How about that game?! Two teams, number one & number two, battling it out to see who could come out on top and be crowned the best...wanting more than anything to be CHAMPIONS!
Today I want to talk about the Kansas City Chiefs, (my team since I was 4 years old growing up in Kansas City) and Andy Reid, their amazing coach. The Chiefs had not won in 50 YEARS!! - Five decades - that is a heck of a long drought! Think of what can happen to a team or organization when they have not won in fifty years! They actually start to believe that they cannot win.
Andy Reid is far and away one of the best coaches in the NFL ...other coaches and players have learned from him and excelled. Some of the coaches have actually won Super Bowls. And with all he has accomplished, the Super Bowl still eluded him. BUT this Special team, with this amazingly talented kid they have deemed “Magic Mahomes”, set their mind to winning, NO MATTER WHAT!! No matter what the score might say, or how far they were down or whatever mistakes may have been made. Belief, Faith, Commitment to finishing what they started.
Make a decision to start winning today! Make it a point to write down your 3 wins for the week ..each week. This helps show that no win is too small and some weeks wins come easy, other weeks they take everything you’ve got. The point is that winning is often the result of momentum. Each week you need to commit to setting a spark that can ignite a fire! If your results are not what you want, change your thinking, change your behavior, change your actions...Step into your champion self and WIN!!!
Remember, you only have one, so ROCK THIS LIFE NOW!!
Losing weight will not make you more worthy! Six-pack abs won’t make you any more capable. Being a size 2 or 4 will not make you smarter or funnier or a better person. Your WORTH has absolutely NOTHING to do with the way you look!!
Don’t get me wrong, I am completely obsessed with people taking care of themselves: drinking enough water, eating healthy, getting a good night’s sleep and exercising BUT that is simply because you will then be showing up as the best version of you. You will inevitably have more energy and more focus and power over your life.
Most of us were raised to believe that “if we look a certain way” you will be the right kind of person. Your looks do not determine how happy or successful you will be. You are ENOUGH exactly as you are right now!
Change your body because of how it will make you feel, - strong, confident and capable of anything! Change your body because you are blessed to have it and you want to take care of it, treat it as the temple it is. When you change your body, you change your mind, heart and soul, but whatever you do...DO NOT change your body because you think it will make you better, or cause you to fit in or gain others approval.
You are enough..you are a perfect child of God and you are loved, JUST AS YOU ARE!! Remember, we love you and just want you to be your best self! Remember you only have one...SO ROCK THIS LIFE NOW!!!
xoxo...Steph & Andy
