IT’S OKAY TO BE HUMAN

Picture

To be human is to experience it all, the ups and downs, the highs and lows, the scattered in between, it’s all a part of life and it’s all okay.  To feel is to be alive and to be alive is a gift from God.  We often take this gift for granted until we lose someone we love.  Loss reminds us that we are here only for a short time, so we need to make each and every day count.

It’s okay to cry, it’s okay to be angry or frustrated, exhausted or overwhelmed.  If , in our heartache, we cry, it’s okay.  If, in our exhaustion, we reset, it’s okay.  If, in our brokenness, we make mistakes, it’s okay.

When we give ourselves permission to say it is okay, we replace shame with grace and grace is the best gift we could ever give ourselves.  We all need more grace, more empathy, more space to feel, to be alive, to be human.

Without grace we will spend our one precious life always wishing things were different and we will inevitably forget it’s all a gift.  Every single day, every single moment, every single breath - a beautiful and precious gift.

DIFFICULT TIMES REVEAL TRUE FRIENDS

Picture
Who are your friends who TRULY have your back when the chips are down? Who is the REAL, LOYAL friend?  You might have a lot of people that are in your life, but that does not make them a REAL FRIEND.

I am not talking about acquaintances, I am talking True Friends.  In tough times, you often find out who your true friends are, the hard way! It’s one of the greatest things about going through tough times, because it will reveal who the true, loyal friends are...the ones who have your back when things are going astray.

The one that stands by you in your darkest hour.  The friend who reaches out to you when the tough times arrive.  The friend who truly celebrates and is happy for you when you win (isn’t secretly rooting against you, as so many do).  The ones who will be honest and tell you the truth even when it is uncomfortable and you might not WANT to hear it, but NEED to hear it.

You will often find that your friend circle is a bit smaller than it used to be.  Remember those who have respected your hard work and drive. Remember those who have stood by you in your lows and celebrated with you in your accomplishments.  Remember the people who have been with you through it all.  The ones who honor the true meaning of “having your back”.

As Dominique Turetto would say your “Ride or Die”...for those of you who love Fast & the Furious!  These are the ones you keep close.  They are true blessings in your life and be grateful for the ones who didn’t stay.  Trust in the fact that they came and went when they should have!

Be truly grateful for the few TRUE friends you have...cause you can ROCK THIS LIFE NOW TOGETHER!!

Rock It!! Love ya!
