7/10/2019 Stop Letting Debt Hold You BackDebt is totally debilitating...it weighs you down, holds you back and it can keep you from taking chances and being all you can be. Not every debt can be taken care of by just writing a check, sometimes digging your way out of a dietary hole can seem impossible and that cannot be taken care of with money. You cannot reach your true potential, personally or professionally, until you commit to paying down the debt you are carrying, whatever it may be.
What if you could free yourself from the following debilitating debts..How would you feel? How much more could you accomplish and achieve?: Personal If you have been working and burning both ends of the candle, spending 10-12 hour days, what kind of toll is it taking? Are you there for your family and friends? Are you putting work before everything else? It is important to make time for the people you care about. Schedule family time, time for your friends and definitely time for yourself to decompress and re-charge. Physical Don’t be a statistic..less than 1 in 4 Americans get enough exercise. Don’t you want to create healthy habits and live a long, healthy life? All the money and material things in the world mean nothing without your health. It does not matter how much money you make or how hard you work if you do not have the vitality and energy, or the strong, healthy body, to enjoy it. You inevitably are not showing up as the best possible version of you! Professional If you have ever had a mentor then you know how valuable mentorship can be. If you cannot think of someone you know, then look to those who inspire you to be better - maybe someone you follow, someone’s books you enjoy reading, - just be sure that they are challenging you and adding value. Maybe it is you who should be a mentor to a friend or colleague and speak truth into their life. Mentors improve their understanding of what they teach by teaching others to apply the tools and they strengthen their own relationships, as well as Improving and developing their leadership skills. Financial This absolutely can be the worst, most crippling debt of all. Start small, with baby steps and don’t beat yourself up. Focus on paying back those cards with the highest interest rates first. Student loan debt should be prioritized above medical debt but both of these have much less impact when it comes to your credit score. The faster you can get out of debt and commit to NEVER getting into it again, the better. Dave Ramsey and David Bach are two of my favorite mentors where finances and savings are concerned. The Latte Factor by David Bach is one of the best books for actually teaching tactical and simplified suggestions that can be easily applied at any age. Spiritual Your spiritual life is the place where accumulated debt might be the toughest to recognize. Are you the person God intended you to be? Have you given back to the world what you truly want to? You want the world to be a better place because you are in it and we are put on this earth to make an impact and difference in people’s lives. It’s never too late!! And you are never too old!! Remember, you only have one...ROCK THIS LIFE NOW!!!
